If you’re using OpenTelemetry to collect traces or logs, shipping that data into Sentry is easy with the new OTLP endpoints. We’re going live to take you through how you can get started using OpenTelemetry with Sentry.
We’ll cover…
We're going hands-on with all things application development, and making sure that when your code breaks, you have a good way figure out how to fix it. Sentry Build workshops stay in the code, building software, and debugging real problems with the latest tools from Sentry.
Coming soon...
Sentry’s OTLP endpoitns are deisgned to be easy to use with your exiting OpenTelemetry setup. If you’re using the OpenTelemetry SDK, you can configure it to send traces and logs natively, or if you’re using an OpenTelemetry Collector, it’s as easy as configuring your exporter destination.
Once you’ve configured your OpenTelemetry SDK or Collector to send traces and logs to Sentry, you can confirm data is being received by checking your Sentry project and digging into logs and traces. Not seeing anything? We’ll help you debug why.
Distributed tracing lets you see where your users are connecting across the entire scope of your projects. Distributed tracing connects the data across projects for spans, logs, and errors - and makes it easy to investigate issues across your entire stack.
We’ll go hands on building examples of how using this data can help you investigate issues wihtin the application. You’ll see how Tracing and Spans are built, and how to configure logs across your application.
Here's a quick look at how Sentry handles your personal information (PII).
×We collect PII about people browsing our website, users of the Sentry service, prospective customers, and people who otherwise interact with us.
What if my PII is included in data sent to Sentry by a Sentry customer (e.g., someone using Sentry to monitor their app)? In this case you have to contact the Sentry customer (e.g., the maker of the app). We do not control the data that is sent to us through the Sentry service for the purposes of application monitoring.
Am I included? We may disclose your PII to the following type of recipients:
You may have the following rights related to your PII:
If you have any questions or concerns about your privacy at Sentry, please email us at [email protected].
